Your new or pre-loved baby essentials give pēpi across Aotearoa a warm, safe start. Here’s what we need most, what we’re unable to accept, and how to get your koha to us.
What we need most
New or in excellent, clean condition — here’s what makes the biggest difference for pēpi.
Clothing (prem – 1 year)
- Knitted cardigans, jackets, vests*
- Hats, beanies, booties & socks
- All-in-ones / stretch & grows
- Long & short-sleeved bodysuits / onesies
- Pants & tops
Blankets & bedding
- Blankets*
- Baby sleeping bags*
- Bassinet and cot sheets
- Towels
Other essentials
- Disposable newborn & infant nappies
- Baby toys
- Books (hardcover and softcover)
- Wipes & burp cloths
- Wool or natural-fibre yarn or fabrics for our crafters
- Baby baths
* We ask that any handcrafted items, and any baby bedding or blankets, are made of natural fibres only.
What we’re unable to accept
For the safety of every pēpi, we’re unable to take the following:
- Used car seats / capsules
- Used soft toys
- Electrical baby equipment or items with a button battery
- Change tables
- Portacots
- Cots, bassinets or sleep spaces that don’t meet NZ Safety Standards
- Cot bumpers or sleeping accessories (wedges, head supports, duvets, pillows, sleep devices)
- Maternity clothing
- Electric breast pumps
- Recalled or unsafe items
- Damaged, stained or soiled items

Please make sure everything is clean and in good condition, then drop your items at your nearest location — or post them to your closest branch.
